Things like tourism management and marketing. Such as different steps in a tourism cycle, how a destination grows from exploratory to mass tourism. It will go into the reasons of why people travel and how different organizations target these people to get them to travel to their destination.
They also teach you about different tourism channels, such as Convention and Visitor's Bureaus, Chamber of Commerces, destination management companies and their contributions to the tourism industry.
You might also learn about the meeting planning and convention sector of tourism, sustainable tourism, itinerary planning, etc.

If ever there was a course which should not be taught online (other than, perhaps, surgery), this would be it. How can you study travel and tourism if you aren't even willing to travel to school?
It depends on the kind of college from which you are getting it. If do it from Singapore(any good college) then u will definitely have a bright future as the Asian hotels resorts are increasing and more tourists are comming to Asia. Travel Tourism is a booming industry in Asia.

Life is a lifelong learning process. You can never be too old to learn. I admitted a lady in her 60's into a medical school program. Don't ever set strict time limits on yourself especially when it comes to learning.

I worked in the hotel bussiness for over 6 years and the things I saw could fill a book. The people I met were great and had a lot of regular customers that got to be great friends. Good luck and have fun. It could be a lot of work but as long as you like it it is well worth it.

Bush needs a scapegoat to stay in power and chose terrorism. The only terror in traveling is all the hazzle you have to go through in security, not being able to travel with your toothpaste and toothbrush in your handbag etc.

The only thing I can think of expedia.com or hotels.com.....I guess it's not really travel advice, as much as hotel advice, though.
When I went to travel school, the school provided placement assistance. The school helped in preparing a resume and brought perspective employers in to speak to the class. We also found leads for employment from the many FAX message sent to the school each day from employers.
You should take to your school about leads for finding employment. You should also search for jobs in Australia and Singapore on the internet. Search for travel agencies in those places and them write to them ask ask about employment
Depends, what level of study are you looking at - Degree / HND, National Diploma, NVQ? You could try this website which lists all courses available in the Birmingham area and then select check the courses available in Travel Tourism or Hospitality Management (as it is also called) and your preferred study level ie: Degree, HND/HNC, National Diploma, NVQ etc : www.birmingham.floodlight.co.uk
All depends. Are you shooting documentary for a big broad casting channel? Personal use? As an art project? For a school/university?
